A Pioneer Family Reunion
In East Montgomery County
2009
We share not only a part of history-
But old neighbors, family, and a way of life that used to be, and continues to be.
.
We went to school together and played hard in the old fashioned way-
We listened to each other and what all of our parents had to say.
.
We went to church every single Sunday-
And then got together on every special holiday that came our way.
.
We buried our loved ones as we all felt a community loss-
We strived to take care of our families at whatever cost.
.
We are all linked together for we are the pioneers and/or descendants
of the pioneers of East Montgomery County.
.
We married and all had children and grandchildren and even great or
great-great grandchildren of our very own-
We’ve all stayed close even as our community has grown.
.
And so here we are once again-
Gathering to eat, enjoy, and discuss with those that we share
so much, the days of way back when.
