An Original Pair

The original New Caney High School was built in 1940-
Right in the midst of East Montgomery County.

Student classes nowadays are of the larger kind-
But back then, the first graduating seniors consisted of nine.
.
Two alumni from that era were honored recently at the annual
2007 New Caney High School pep rally-
Ruby Epperson Hollis and Seymour Willis, were a charm to see.
.
A pair of former students that stood out in the crowd-
Highlighted with applause, that was deservedly loud.
.
Honoring those who came before us, enriches the whole
community-
Living, learning, and remembering, as to how it used to be.
